Saturday Soccer Games

Saturday was a long day of non-stop soccer for the boys. Ryan had a tournament, and Gabriel had his last game of the season. We started the day off at 8 AM at Ryan's first game. From there, the boys grabbed a breakfast burrito and then headed to Gabriel's game at 10 AM. Ryan played again at Noon, and then again at 3:20 PM. It was an extremely long day, but a good one! Ryan's team won (after a Tied Game kick off), making them the 3rd & 4th Grade Champions!!! (Ryan plays with the older kids to stay with his coach from last year). They will now get to play in the City Wide Tournament here in the next couple of weeks!!!! Way to go Ryan!

Gabriel as Goalie - he made some AWESOME stops!

Ryan in action!

Team Huddle - GO TIGERS!!!

After the games, Ryan's coach bought all of the kids happy meals and ice cream cones from McDonald's, where they got their medals! It was after 6 PM before we got home for the day. The boys were happy, sweaty, and exhausted!

Birthday Party Fun

This weekend was a busy one for the Sanchez Boys! On Saturday, both Ryan and Gabriel had soccer games. After the games, we had time for a quick bite to eat before they were off to 2 Birthday parties! Their cousin, Samantha turned 8, and had a High School Musical Party where they played lots of games including musical chairs and a hula hoop race! After Samantha's party, they were off to Hogan's party. Hogan is a friend of Gabriel's from Karate, who had an entire petting zoo in his back yard for his party - WOW! They boys had a great time.

We also had a "nursery decorating party" for Hayley and Blair this weekend. On Saturday, mom, Becky & Jim came in and we decorated Sixlet's nursery (check out Hayley's blog for some pictures of her precious baby girls room). On Sunday, we all headed to Blair & David's to decorate Smithlet's nursery. We didn't get Blair's completely done, but we got them off to a great start! Both babies are going to have great rooms to come home to!

Backyard Baseball Fun

They boys stayed home with Manuel this last weekend while I was in Abilene for Hayley and Blair's Baby Shower. They had their soccer games Saturday morning, and then went fishing that afternoon at Marine Creek Lake. On Sunday, they went to the dollar show and saw the new National Treasure movie, and then drug out all of their baseball gear that afternoon to play baseball in the backyard! The weather was perfect, and they stayed out there for a long while playing, running, and spending some energy! It was a great end to a fun weekend with their dad!

Hayley & Blair's Baby Shower

This weekend was Hayley and Blair's Baby Shower. This was my first joint baby shower to both throw and attend, and we had a blast! For those of you who don't know, Hayley is my brother's wife, and Blair is her sister. They are both pregnant with their first babies and are due 1 day apart (Hayley is due May 14th & Blair is due May 15th). We threw them a joint shower in Abilene at their Aunt Kara's house, where they both received a ton of great gifts! It was nice to be able to see our friends and family we haven't seen in a while!

After the shower, both of our families grilled burgers at Mom's house and relaxed from an afternoon of fun! I really enjoyed being able to feel both babies moving (I sat between both girls so I could feel their bellies)! I can't wait until "Sixlet" and "Smithlet" get here! Their Aunt Brittny is going to spoil them rotten!!! =0)

Here are a few pictures from the shower.
