TAKS Test

We just found out yesterday that Ryan passed his Reading TAKS Test!!!! He is so excited and we are so very proud of him! He has worked so hard this year trying to prepare for this test. I think the thing he is looking forward to the most is no more after school tutoring! =0)

Spring Break

Spring Break came and went very quickly for the boys. They stayed home with me on Monday and then headed to Granny and Papa's house until Thursday. They played at the park and rode their skateboards and scooters every day while they were there, and of course somehow managed to talk Granny into buying them both a new pair of shoes before they left!

On Friday, Manuel took the boys to see Bedtime Stories at the dollar show and to play Putt Putt while I was working. They all had a great time! Gabriel even made a hole in one!

Saturday the boys went bowling while I worked on the taxes, and then we watched movies the rest of the day. Today was spent cleaning up and getting ready to go back to school tomorrow... Man, how this week flew by!

NO MORE TRAINING WHEELS!!!!
We got Gabriel a new bike this week and in a matter of minutes, he was riding without his training wheels! He was so excited!!! It took him a little bit to get the hang of turning and getting off of the bike without falling down, but he did AWESOME and only busted a couple of times (good thing Daddy was there to catch him)!

31 Weeks

Yesterday we went for our 31 week checkup. The baby's heartbeat was 150 bpm, and she is measuring right at 32 weeks, so all is looking good! She is very active, especially at night still! I had only gained 1.5 lbs. during the past 2 weeks, so in that aspect, I am doing really well. My feet are starting to swell a little, so Dr. Robbins told me lay off of the sodium! We are still working on her room, and hope to have it done pretty soon. The walls are painted and the furniture is up. We just need to get stuff on her walls! Can't wait until she is here!!! =0)

Happy 4th Birthday Haley!

Leticia came down last weekend with the kids to celebrate Haley's 4th Birthday. As you can imagine, it was quite a weekend with all 5 kids running around screaming! We made a strawberry cake with cream cheese icing and lots of colored sprinkles on top Saturday morning and threw in a few Tinkerbell things too!

Karate Testing

The boys had another karate test - Gabriel was testing for his single red Tiny Tiger belt, and Ryan was testing for his blue decided. Both did a very good job and successfully earned another rank!

Video of Gabe's belt test

Gabe running through his form with his group.

Gabe setting for his palm heal board break!

Success! Gabe is now a single red belt! Only one more belt to go before he moves up to the Jr. class!

Ryan during his Blue Belt Form. This was the best testing he has had so far! All of his movements were crisp, strong and powerful! He was the only one in his color group that was able to complete the entire form during the test without assistance from the instructors!

The 2nd half of Ryan's test - sparring! He kicked some butt! =0)

Success again! Ryan earning his decided stripe for his blue belt!

At the very end of the ceremony, Mr. Viggers announced that they were starting a new form of recognition with each belt testing. The judges will now be choosing one student who not only tested well, but has been doing well and showing improvement in class, and is pushing themselves to become a better student. I am proud to say that Ryan was the first recipient of this award! The prize.... double promotion!!!! Ryan ended up not only earning his blue recommended stripe, but is now a brown belt! Ryan didn't realize at the time what exactly was happening, but is very excited and proudly sports his new belt! I was so excited, I could hardly stop myself from crying (but then again I am pregnant, so what else would you expect!)!

Kindergarten Rodeo

Gabe had his Kindergarten Rodeo about a week ago. The kids all got to dress up as cowboys and cowgirls and bring their homemade hobby horses! All of the kindergarten kids paraded down the hall to the gym where they had about 8 different cowboy games for them to do. It was completely chaotic and lots of fun!
